When used as advised, it is not dangerous to people, pets, or vegetation, but it has a melting power that outperforms ordinary blends. Melts ice in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit/-23 degrees Celsius. When applied as advised on at least one-year-old air-entrained cold-weather concrete, it is safer. Sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, and MG 104 are all present. Up to 2-1/2 times longer than other ice melters in preventing refreezing.
